Penge CC Hill Climb: Old Polhill, Sunday 30th Oct -10 am

For club members only – come and have a go at our traffic-free hill climb. Suitable for Go-Ride and adult members of all abilities. Free entry. Just turn up, sign on and ride.

The course is around 800m long, average 8% gradient with many hairpin corners and even a tunnel.

The Penge pixies will make sure that the potentially mucky surface is safe to ride before the start.

Some Sunday morning rides will head out to the hill on this day.

Meet at the clearing at bottom of the hill for 10am if you want to make your own way there.  It’s accessed through the gate near the railway bridge on Filston Lane, south of Shoreham.

Parking is available in the lay-by on the A224 Polhill, just south of Otford Lane. The top of the hill is just north of the lay-by.

USE EXTREME CAUTION when cycling down the hill. The surface may be slippery and be aware of riders coming up the hill, particularly in the tunnel.
