At Penge Cycle Club, our goal has always been to welcome cyclists of all ages and abilities to come and ride with us.
The best way to try us out is to sign up for one of our Sunday rides. We have a complete range of rides, with a distance and speed to suit almost everyone, and we all ride with the same shared ethos.
We ride because we love cycling, we enjoy the company of other cyclists, and we never leave anyone behind.
We love to encourage new people to experience the joy that a great club like Penge CC can offer.
With over 600 members aged between 5 and over 70, we have youngsters just starting out, we have some very fast riders who like to race, and we have those who just like to get out into the countryside to find a nice cafe.
A good 30% of our riders are women, and we organise and get involved in a range of activities:
- competitive riders, riders covering 100s of miles in multi-day audaxes
- regular Sunday rides with over 100 people getting fit while having fun in the Kent and Surrey lanes
- a youth Go-Ride section
- regular social events
- cycle trips to experience new roads all over Europe
- people making friends and encouraging each other to achieve things they never thought they could before they joined our club.
The club has grown quickly and has a loyal group of riders. Our members tell us it’s because we are friendly, inclusive and fun. Come and see for yourself.
Our HQ and spiritual home is SE20 Cycles on Penge High Street, Penge SE20.
We’re a volunteer-run club steered by an ever-evolving club committee. As new members join, new ideas, skills, and energy help improve the club. We are British Cycling accredited with Club Mark status. Our HQ and spiritual home is SE20 Cycles on Penge High Street, SE20.
Since we started in 2008, Penge Cycle Club has had a simple ethos to make cycling social and enjoyable. We work hard to do this safely and in manageable groups.
When our 3 founders set the club up and chose the iconic red, white and green Penge Tricolor, did they ever imagine how vibrant a club Penge CC would become? Of course they did!
