What is Go-Ride?

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. Penge Cycle Club’s Youth section is affiliated, and all our coaches are trained to British Cycling’s high standards.

The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike-handling skills. This is done in a traffic-free environment through a mixture of games, exercises and races.

With most of the Great Britain Cycling Team having started in Go-Ride clubs, they are a great place for aspiring champions to start.

Our club is Clubmark-accredited and affiliated with British Cycling, with its activities covered by British Cycling insurance. All coaches are trained to Level 1, Level 2 and have Level 2+ track and road/time trial awards. All have regular DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks and have up-to-date first-aid certificates.

Penge CC Youth currently has 50 members, and we are always looking for new, keen young riders. Most of our members are from the Penge, Sydenham, Forest Hill and Beckenham areas, but anyone from anywhere is welcome if you can get to the sessions.

For our sessions, we currently use Crystal Palace Park and Alexandra Junior School. Sessions run most Saturdays, 10am to 12pm. Please see our upcoming events/youth.
