What we do at Go-Ride

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people.

The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike-handling skills. This is done in a traffic-free environment through a mixture of games, exercises and races.

With most of the Great Britain Cycling Team having starting out in Go-Ride clubs, they are a great place for aspiring champions to start.

Our club is Clubmark accredited and affiliated to British Cycling, with its activities covered by BC insurance. All coaches are trained to Level 1, Level 2 and have Level 2+ track and road/time trial awards. All have regular DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks and have up-to-date first-aid certificates.

Penge Go-Ride currently has 50 members and we are always looking for new keen young riders. Most of our members are from the Penge, Sydenham and Beckenham areas but anyone from anywhere is welcome if you can get to the sessions.

For our sessions we currently use Crystal Palace Park. Sessions run most Saturdays, meeting from 10am, with the sessions running from 10:15am to 11:30am. The sessions involve some group riding and mini sessions within the park. Please see our upcoming events/youth.
