The club held its 3rd annual hill climb competition on Old Polhill on 24th September. A 800m traffic-free climb with 3 hairpins and a tunnel. Average gradient 8%. 58 riders took part, up from 41 last year.
It’s just a fun introduction into the hill climb season, but for the benefit of club bragging rights here are the podium places:

Good result for Tim, who took on starter’s duties for most of the morning before being relieved. A PB but 2 second slower than James Marshall’s club record set last year,
New club record for Emma, beating her previous best of 3:11 set in 2015.
