Start & Finish in Goddington Park, Orpington

This year local charity Harris Hospice Care (in conjunction with Bromley Cyclists’) are organising a series of 4 charity cycle rides and we would like to encourage as many Penge riders to sign up and take part.

They have four different distance rides offering something for everyone:

  • Park Challenge from 10am – for younger cyclists cycle activities within Goddington Park
  • 20km ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ start time 10am-12pm – suitable for families and occasional cyclists: Kynaston Wood/Kevington/Crockenhill/Skeet Hill Lane/Shoreham/Chelsfield
  • 40km ‘Fantastic Forty’ start time 9am-10:30am – cyclists wanting to push themselves further: incorporates the 20k but extends to: Eynsford/Farningham/Knockmill/Knatts Valley/Chalkhurst Wood
  • 100km ‘Wheels of Steel’ start time 8am-10am – experienced cyclists looking for a real challenge: incorporates the 40k route but extends to: South Darenth/Hartley/Cobham/Higham/Culverstone Green/Fawkham

Entry fees are very competitive compared to most current sportif’s and charity bike rides

HospisCare is an adult hospice caring for people with life-limiting conditions in the London Borough of Bromley. Their services are completely FREE to patients and their families, but cost £1.5m a year to run, so its vital that their fundraising events, including the Cycle for Life, get as much support as possible.
