On Saturday 18th August, we have booked the cycle track at Cyclopark, near Gravesend for a special Penge CC afternoon of coaching, riding skills and entertainment.
The track is an ideal place to learn and practice new skills in a safe, traffic-free environment and our friends at Elite have lined up a range of activities to suit everyone.
The main objective, as always, is to have some fun and we are going to have several separate sessions to make sure everyone gets the most from the day. The good news is that this is FREE to attend for all members – because we are committed to supporting everyone becoming better and safer cyclists.
Here’s the plan for the day:
1.30pm – Arrive at Cyclopark by train, car or bike
2.00pm – 5.00pm Split into 3 groups to learn and practice skills including cornering, group riding and ride leading
5.00pm – Refreshments/ Return to Penge
We expect a full range of abilities and will group riders so that no one has to ride with much slower or faster riders.
The event is free, but we need to know numbers – please sign on here providing the following information:
Which ride you normally join on a Sunday
How you intend to travel to Cyclopark
If you are driving and could offer a lift, how many passengers with bikes could you take
We hope you can attend as this will be a great opportunity to improve riding skills and should be plenty of fun.
