The Tour de Penge has become a regular part of the Penge Festival, and this year will again be starting at Penge Recreation Ground – then setting off down Penge High Street towards Cator park and then the Waterlink Way up towards Greenwich.
100s of riders of all ages will make their way to Greenwich for a picnic next to The Greenwich Old Brewery. To have an idea of the ride please check out some photos’s from previous years rides. This will be the 10th edition of the ride first organised by Mark Soole in 2007. This year we will again have the great support from the local London Cycling Campaign Group:- Bromley Cyclists, who are providing marshals and Bromley’s Councils Sustainable Transport Team.
Sign on in Penge Recreation Ground SE20 8HU from 09:00 am with the ride starting at 10:00 am.
The ride is free.
To sign up early please complete this registration form and email it to tourdepenge@pengecc.org before Wednesday 1st June. Or if you don’t get a chance to do that, just print it off and bring it with you on the day to save time completing forms when you arrive – tdp reg form 2016.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring puncture repair kit, spare inner tubes, we recommend you wear a helmet, wear suitable wet gear or sun cream if it’s sunny and bring a packed lunch and some ice-cream money.
We will be heading back from Greenwich in 2-3 groups during the afternoon. Any offers of help, be it as a marshall or support drivers or general helper please contact Louisa Harding – tourdepenge@pengecc.org.
We will also be selling Tour de Penge t-shirts on the day at the start and finish – kids and adult sizes all for £10 each – or if you wish to buy and collect beforehand email – tourdepenge@pengecc.org.(Sizes = kids M(7-8yrs), L(9-11yrs), XL(12-13yrs) and adults S, M and L).
