Penge Cycle Club

Penge Cycle club 5

Our youth section is known as Go Ride Penge and meets most Saturdays during term time at Alexandra Junior School in Cator Road, Sydenham, SE26 5DS.

The youth section of the club currently has 50 members, aged between 5 and 16, Saturday and race days get anywhere between near to 80 children turning up and we are always looking for new members. Most of our riders are from Penge but we also have riders from Sydenham, Beckenham, Dulwich and South Norwood areas.

Why not come along and try out the club with a free session.  Learn basic cycle skills, have fun, do some exercise or get started on racing…

The club is based at Alexandra Junior School, Cator Road, Sydenham. Sessions run most Saturdays (during term time).  Sign on from 10am, with the sessions running from 10:15 – 12:00pm.

We hold occasional sessions at Crystal Palace Park, South Norwood Country Park, Beckenham Place Park and Herne Hill Velodrome. So please check the website to see just in case we are on a family ride or at a race.

What is Go Ride?

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills. This is done in a traffic free environment through a mixture of games, exercises and races.

Our club is affiliated to British Cycling, with its activities covered by BC Insurance.
All Coaches are trained to Level 1 or Level 2, have been DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and have First Aid Certificates.

For all enquiries please email
